The former Arsenal midfielder has landed a deal with the Russian side in a bid to revive his career
Ghana international Emmanuel Frimpong has sealed a three-year deal with Russian side Ufa on transfer deadline day.
Frimpong, who has been handed the No. 5 jersey, has been a free agent after being released by Barnsley following their relegation.
Frimpong’s career has been blighted with injuries since he graduated from the Arsenal youth side to the senior level forcing him to go on loan to put his job in shape.
He has had loan stints with Wolves, Charlton, and Fulham before joining Barnsley in January this year. Frimpong recently failed to agree a move to Austrian side Sturm Graz.
The 22-year-old played for the England Under-16 and 17 sides between 2006 to 2008 before committing his international career to Ghana.
