Assin Fosu Zoomlion Workers March To MCE’s Residence Over Unpaid Salaries

Zoomlion workers in the Assin Fosu Municipal Assembly today marched to the residence of the Assin Fosu Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Nicholas Fiifi Baako to seek for clarification over their unpaid salaries.

The leader of the workers, Madam Ama Nyarkoaa in an interview with Odoom Prince Linford Gameboy said, they have worked for 9 months without salaries.

“Our leaders have been giving us false hope any time we consult them,” she said.

She stressed that, they marched to the MCEs residence because they believe his influence can help get their salaries paid.

Some of the workers also complained about lack of Personal Protective Equipment in this era of COVID- 19 pandemic.

Hon Nicholas Fiifi Baako, Fosu Municipal Chief Executive ceased the opportunity and pleaded with Leaders of Zoomlion to speed up processes in paying their salaries.

He said, the delay of their unpaid salaries is affecting the fight against COVID-19 negatively. 

In an interview with Odoom Prince Gameboy, he said together with the Central Regional Minister, they have complained to the Regional Manager of Zoomlion concerning their salaries.
