Liberia’s Deputy Education Minister, Latim Da-thong has allegedly been flown to Ghana to seek treatment after he became critically ill when he was infected with COVID-19.
This was made known by Liberia’s FrontPage Africa Newspaper reports.
According to Liberia’s Information Minister, Lenn Eugene Nagbe , Mr Da-thong was receiving treatment and in a stable condition.
Meanwhile, Liberia’s Education Minister, Ansu Sonii is also undergoing treatment in Liberia for Covid-19 as his ministry prepares to reopen schools next week.
Liberia has so far confirmed 652 coronavirus cases with 34 deaths.
Also in Ghana, the death toll as at June 22, 2020 has risen from 85 to 95, as the number of positive cases is now 14,568.
According to the Ghana Health Service, out of the 14,568, 10,907 have recovered with the current number of active cases being 3,566.
