A flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party, Alan Kyerematen, has warned the party will continue to wallow in opposition if it gives Nana Akufo-Addo another chance to contest the 2016 elections.
The former Trades Minister said he is the only capable candidate who can deliver the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition from opposition.
Kyerematen, who is contesting two-time presidential candidate Nana Akufo-Addo and a legislator Francis Addai Nimoh for the flagbearer ticket come the October 18 congress, believes the incessant reliance on one particular person will render the party irrelevant.
“God has a special gift for the NPP but has locked that key in a room, but has given us two keys,” Kyerematen told a mini rally at Ho. “We have tried to open with one key and it is not opening. Please try and open the door with the other key and it will open doors for us in the 2016 elections.”
Alan ‘Cash’ promised if he becomes the flagbearer of the NPP and subsequently wins the presidential election, the living standards of Ghanaians will transform tremendously.
“If I become flagbearer you will receive your own means of transports, you will receive your monthly salary on time,” Kyerematen promised to a loud applause.
