The President of Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi says he was “shocked” by the “violent” attitude of suspended Black Stars player, Sulley Muntari during Ghana’s participation in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Nyantakyi said although he has been in football administration for many years, the conduct of the AC Millan midfielder in the Ghana camp in Brazil took him by surprise.
“Misunderstanding in camp is not strange but we have mechanisms to control them. That is why we sanctioned Kevin for insulting Kwesi Appiah.
“In Sulley’s case I was surprised myself. I even injured my hand in his confrontation with the management member. I have been in football for so long but I haven’t seen such an attitude from a player before. The anger was too much” the FA boss told Okay FM on Tuesday before his appearance at the Presidential Commission investigating Ghana’s poor showing in the mundial .
Kevin Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari were kicked out of the Black Stars camp in Brazil and subsequently suspended prior to the team’s final group game against Portugal for various acts of indiscipline.
Nyantakyi will today Wednesday, October 1 reappear before the Dzamefe Commission .
