Two police officers of the Ghana Police Service: Lance Corporal Akwasi Boateng and Stephen Kyeremehare reported missing in the Oda River at Korbro in the Obuasi Municipality in the Ashanti Region.

According to reports, they were having some criminals who had allegedly perpetrated a crime were on the run and boarded a canoe to cross the river.

The police officers who were left with no option decided to pursue these criminals by joining a canoe also. However, they were four in number which clearly was more than the capacity of the canoe.
