If you want to die voluntarily, don’t bring your death to us – Health Minister warns

If anyone of us would want to contract the disease and want to die voluntarily, so be it but the rest of us don’t want to die, that is the message from Health Minister, Kwaku Agyemang-Manu to persons who decide to be reckless with Covid-19 safety measures.

The health minister was speaking at a press briefing to update the general public on the coronavirus situation in Ghana.

At the briefing session which was held at the International Press Centre, the minister repeated his advice for people to stay home and observe the needed safety protocols.

“Please stay at home but some of us are still not listening; they will come out, no matter what. Stay home if you’re sick,” a visibly worried Agyemang Manu said.

Mr Agyemang Manu also advised the public to take the wearing of nose masks seriously as it’s one sure way of reducing one’s chances of contracting the virus.

“If you have the mask on, you cannot drink so it tells you that you cannot also go and sit at the bar and drink, the minister said while reiterating the need to wear masks and avoid crowded areas.

“If anyone of us would want to contract the disease and want to die voluntarily, the rest of us don’t want to die,” he said as he wrapped up his submission.
