Ghana on Wednesday night experienced a series of earth tremors on a night the earth shook across the world.
The United States Geological Survey recorded it as 4.0 on the Richter scale at 10.53 pm with Gbawe, six kilometres from Accra, as the epicentre.
The affected areas include Sowutuom, Odorkor, Kasoa, Kwabenya, Mile 7, Achimota, McCarthy Hill, Dome, Kaneshie, Tesano, Dansoman, Dunkanaa, Lapaz, Achimota, Santa Maria, Adenta, Weija, Nsawam, Koforidua, Swedru, Dodowa, Tema, Nungua, Teshie, Madina, Kwabenya, East Legon, among others communities.
The incident happened three times within an estimated period of 10 minutes.
No casualties or damages have been reported.
Countries that recorded earthquake or tremor on Wednesday include the United States, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Greece, India, Dominican Republic and Philippines.
Shortly after the first tremor, thousands of some residents in Accra took to social media to share their experiences.
