Founder and Leader of the Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha has said he feels giving to prison inmates is more important compared to donating to President Akufo-Addo’s Cathedral project.

Speaking on ‘Afro Joint’ show on Kingdom Plus FM, which was monitored by Faithnewsgh.com, the man of God indicated that the cathedral project is a misplaced priority, thus he won’t waste his resources on supporting the call.

Moreover, Ghanaians are not obligated to donate any penny to the project since it is a promise President Akufo-Addo solely made during his 2016 elections campaign.

He said: “Me, am never against the Cathedral building by President Akufo-Addo but my issue is that the timing is wrong. So I will rather go to Nsawam [Prison] and donate my little money to the Inmates there instead of donating to the Cathedral project.”

Kumchacha elaborating on the timing factor, explained that the project is a misplaced priority because there are lots of infrastructural problems such as roads, hospitals and schools which need fixing which is why he would not advocate for its construction at the moment.

“We have important issues that need to be fix in the country so we building National Cathedral at this juncture is not a need now and I will never contribute my quota” he added.
