Charitable Fellows Foundation, a non-governmental organization on 27th June, 2020 visited a deprived community (Kasu) a suburb of Dzodze in the Ketu North Municipality of the Volta Region.
Kasu is truly one of the deprived communities which lacks so many social amenities including, good roads, portable drinking water, poor health service delivery system due to lack of infrastructure just to mention a few.
With the few challenges mentioned above, members of Charitable Fellows Foundation deemed it necessary to support the said community to obtain optimum health since that is part of the Foundation’s core objectives.
Based on the above objectives the Foundation led by the board Chairman Mr. Sylvanus Edem Dafliso presented a cash donation of an undisclosed amount of money to commence work on the first phase of the project.
The elders in the community and as well the staff of the Kasu CHPS Compound was assured of a total completion of the project hence the Kasu CHPS Compound has been adopted as a new-born baby by the Foundation.
Mr. Raphael Amegago who represented the District Health Director appealed to the Foundation to support the facility in putting up structures in order to upgrade to the position of a “Health Center”.
The In-Charge of the facility Mrs. Dorcas Amegago took members of the Foundation around the facility and as well to the project site.
The Chief of the town Torgbui Ahui V expressed his warmest gratitude to the Foundation for the great initiative taken to help improve the health service delivery in the community. He again urged the Foundation with the support of God to give a facelift to the facility.
