Your 20s can make or break you. At this stage, you have the chance to create the path you want the rest of your life.

It can be really confusing and stressful but also an eye-opener

In your 20s, you need to consider everything that happens as a lesson because truly, that’s what they are.

Here are some lifestyle changes you should make in your 20s.

1. Save!

You don’t have to buy everything you see. Start saving. Your future self will thank you.

2. Travel

Invest in memories. You’re young and you don’t exactly have family obligations. Use this time to explore the world and meet new people.

3. Master the art of listening

At this stage it feels like you know a lot of things but sadly, you don’t. You need to learn to actually listen to what people say to you and pick what you think will help you out in life.

4. Protect your skin

Right now your skin is so supple with no wrinkles in sight and you think it’s going to be like that forever? As you grow older it will show on your face. The good thing though is that you can reduce the rate. Start caring for your skin now and you’ll reap the fruits of your labour later.

5. Start eating healthy

Yes, you can have the occasional junk food but you need to start eating healthy so your system won’t have a hard time getting rid of the toxins the junk food leaves behind.

6. Exercise regularly

Your heart will definitely thank you for this when you’re older.

7. Do STI checks regularly

The number of Ghanaian youth who have never done an STI check is amazing! A lot of people don’t do it but you need to check and make your partner check as well. Before you get a nasty infection.

8. Sleep well

They say there’s more rest after death and a number of people glorify stressful lives and not sleeping but stress will kill you. Try as much as possible to have at least 8 hours of good rest every night.
