Award-winning songstress Rebecca Akosua Acheampomaa Acheampong aka Becca incurred the wrath the tweeps in Ghana after she decided to suggest they should not speak about racism because they insulted her after she married her Nigerian born husband, Daniel Tobi.

In the tweet that has so far received over 19,000 responses, which are largely trolls and insults, Becca wrote: “You are here in Africa fighting and advocating racism in the US but in your church/home, you are criticizing and judging someone for marrying a fellow African because they are not from your hometown/country/church… Damn Hypocrites!!!”

Well, it turns out her colleague in the entertainment industry, Ama K Abebrese also feels she goofed slightly with her tweet.

After coming across the tweet of Becca, the award-winning actress offer some little education.

Ama K Abebrese highlighted in simple terms why Becca’s tweet is very wrong at this point in time even though she might have a case.

“Sis they are both wrong, however it’s incomparable to equate the fight for the systemic racism in the USA to African tribalism in marriage and hypocrisy . You can highlight that without appearing to diminish the fight about police brutality. Murder is not marriage. Love always,”Ama K Abebrese tweeted,

Just moments after Ama K. Abebrese schooled her with a tweet, Actress Lydia Forson has also reacted to Becca’s tweet which was roasting some Ghanaians for complaining about the sad killing of George Floyd in the United States when they themselves blasted her for getting married to a Nigerian, Dr. Tobi.

In a reply tweet to the award-winning singer, Lydia Forson advised that she could have used her platform to also champion a fight against tribalism and hypocrisy but not downplay people’s effort in the fight against racism.

“Sis, I believe you can dedicate your platform to speak on tribalism and give it the attention you feel it deserves, without denigrating the voices of those speaking against racism. #BlackLivesMatter,” Lydia Forson tweeted.
