The Wa Central Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) appealed to Ghanaians especially the people of the Upper West Region to partake in the new voters’ registration exercise.
Hanif Jatoe said the “possession the new voter ID card guarantees them voting right and as party people.”
“We have the ultimate responsibility to ensure that our voting right is guaranteed in order for us to give another resounding victory to president Akufo-Addo to continue with his sterling performance for the growth and development of the country.”
He alleged that the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Aseidu Nketia, had been in the Region moving from one radio station to the other discouraging from taking part in the exercise.
“As youths, we found this action unfortunate and ridiculous, but, we were, however, not surprised because the NDC always stood against any progressive move of this country and are always at that in opposition.”
The NPP Wa Central Youth organiser enumerated the benefits that the Ghanaian voter registration.
”Opening a bank account, requires a voter ID, going for a loan or any financial institution requires, registering a SIM card for calls or Mobile Money requires, and even in our part of this constituency the voter ID card has now become a basic requirement for ‘Susu’.
Mr Jatoe further stated that the future of the youth is in the hands of the leadership of the president as he has brought lots of programmes and policies to benefit them.
He advised the youth not to allow themselves to be used to destabilise the registration process.
